Zavimed’s FolliCOOL – Cooling plate for hair follicle handling

Many clinics performing hair restoration surgery uses ice to control the temperature of the grafts. The critical problem with using ice for chilling of grafts is that the ice bath temperature is changing as the ice melts and this means the tissue is being subjected to variations in temperature. Also, more recent studies are showing that storage at temperatures above 10°C (approaching 22°C) may be more beneficial in preserving tissues and organs. By using the FolliCOOL the user can select the temperature that has been optimized for that type of tissue (e.g., hair follicles/scalp tissue).
